I now have a Dumore 44 and have used it for index drilling on my on my Atlas 12" using wire size drills for spotting bolt circle holes for pump mounting flanges. I have made my first toolpost grinder more than 10 years ago based on a Rotorzip tool. The spindle speed is 30000 RPM and it has a 1/4" collet. Put 1" grinding stone in it and it cuts steel like a butter. To put it on a lathe I have made an adaptor, which clamps on the Rotorzip nose and gets installed in place of a regular tool.

The tolerance on the gage-line was +0/-0.0001, and the angle of taper +0/-10 seconds of a degree. Scary stuff for us. The next problem is the accuracy of the lathe itself must be questioned. I turned a plug gage for the taper, and then sent it out to a laboratory for inspection. To my surprise it was within 1/4 of the tolerance for the angle.
